How does a house clearance work?

During a house clearance, the entire household contents are cleared out of the home and disposed of, given away or sold. The owner often takes some items with them to another apartment, but not always. The main aim is to empty the rooms completely in preparation for moving into a new home. This is also the big difference from moving house, where the aim is to move (almost) all the existing household goods to another home so that the owner can continue to live with them in the new place. House clearances run particularly smoothly with our professional team, which disposes of all waste directly, even if it is hazardous waste or heavy construction waste.

Do I need to prepare anything in advance of the house clearance?

You must grant us access to the premises in question; we will then do the work ourselves. It is important that you give the AFLEX team your instructions so that our employees know what is to be disposed of, stored or otherwise kept. No further preparations are necessary on your part.

Are there any additional costs, for example for travel or similar?

Our cost estimate always covers all costs, from the journey to the working hours and transportation through to waste disposal. It is a fixed price, with no hidden extras or charges. With AFLEX, you are fully informed right from the start, as befits a reputable and transparent company.

What payment options do I have?

The real question is: How would you like to pay? At AFLEX you have various options, including bank transfer and cash on account. Discuss the payment methods with our customer service team and clarify any other questions in person. This way, we are on the same page when we start work.

Do I have to be available during the house clearance?

You do not have to be present in person during your house clearance. However, we recommend that you ensure your availability by giving us your cell phone number. This way, if any questions or problems arise en route, our team can contact you promptly and clarify everything. This way, there will be no disruption to the workflow.

Can I deduct the house clearance from my taxes?

Private individuals can declare the hourly wage for household-related services in their tax return. House clearance also falls into this category. However, the materials required are not deductible. Who pays for the renovation when the tenant dies?

If a tenant dies and there is no other tenant living and paying in the apartment, the obligation passes to the heirs. Although they can refuse the inheritance, this happens very rarely. The heirs may even take over the tenancy agreement and move in themselves or terminate the apartment. Any contractual renovation obligations remain unaffected.

Is AFLEX insured against damage?

AFLEX is a reputable, well-known company with proper insurance. If, contrary to expectations, something breaks during your house clearance or your move, the insurance company will step in financially and reimburse you in full for the damage. This is not the only reason why it is a good idea to use professional staff instead of private helpers to clear out an apartment.
